I work at the point where science, field realities, business and investment decisions come together - and don’t always align.

My background is in biology and forestry, and over the past 20 years I’ve worked across communications, business development and programme roles inforestry, land use and nature-based initiatives. Prior to that, I worked in the arts and media sector.

What I’m often brought in for is to hold the thread - to notice when something doesn’t fully add up, and to help bring clarity before decisions are made or commitments locked in.

I’m comfortable with uncertainty, but I want decisions to be defensible. Much of my work is about spotting where ideas, claims or structures won’t hold up later - and addressing that early, before time, money or credibility are put at risk.

I’ve worked across projects, organisations and investors - including:

  • Early delivery and structuring support for a Brazilian nature-based solutions start-up

  • Community engagement and safeguards design for a large-scale carbon and biodiversity project in Zambia

  • Coaching corporates on integrating biodiversity data — from business relevance and theory of change to technical design and sampling approaches (NatureMetrics)

  • Monitoring and data strategy in timber value chains and for corporates

  • Impact framing and decision-ready narratives for investors and family offices

  • Field experience across Latin America, Africa and Indonesia

  • Sector-wide communications and feature magazine production in the forestry and timber sector

  • Public speaking, panel moderation and media engagements on nature markets and biodiversity

I work across English, Spanish and German - often bridging European decision contexts with Latin American project realities.

If this sounds relevant to where you are, I’d be happy to start with a conversation.
