My domain expertise
My background spans forestry and land-based systems, biology, communications, and biodiversity data and monitoring systems.
I work at the frontier of nature markets and novel multi-stakeholder initiatives: where standards are still forming, alignment between investors, delivery teams and communities isn't guaranteed, and misalignment carries real risk.
Currently that means voluntary carbon and biodiversity markets, high-integrity supply chains and ecological certification systems; but the approach applies wherever these conditions exist.

My vision
Significant private capital is looking for meaningful impact. Nature restoration and conservation projects remain critically underfunded. That gap isn't primarily a financing problem, and surely not a lack of innovation - it's a coordination problem.
Nature initiatives span hard science, complex regulation, community realities and investor expectations. Getting the technical and entrepreneurial pieces right is necessary - but it's rarely what determines success.
What I find most interesting is the people layer. The capital is increasingly there. The science is there. What determines whether initiatives actually succeed is whether the people involved - investors, ecologists, communities, delivery teams - understand the whole picture and their part in it.
What draws me to this work is that moment when things click; when someone has the full picture and knows what to do with it.
